Homemade Granola Bars

This is a base granola bar recipe. I use this recipe and add dried fruit, nuts, seeds, chocolate chunks, spices, or anything else I was to keep the flavor interesting.

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup quinoa flakes

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour

  • 1 cup raisins or chopped dates or other dried fruit of choice (SULFITE FREE!)

  • 1 organic, free range egg

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice

  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds of choice, pulse in food processor for a smoother texture.

  • 1/4 cup nut or seed butter, melted

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp good quality vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit .

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.

  • Line a baking sheet or glass basking dish with parchment paper or coconut oil.

  • Press mixture into pan or baking dish until even thickness of about 1 inch high.

  • Bake for 20 minutes.

  • Let cool in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

  • Cut and serve. Makes 10-12 bars.
