With its ease of use and robust nutrient content, greens powder is a MUST-have staple in my kitchen. I even keep some at my office.


There are a variety of greens powder that can be found at your local grocery or health food store. Usually greens powder contains dehydrated greens, fruits, algae, and pro and pre-biotics, herbs, and medicinal spices.

This powder may boosts wellness by aiding in detoxifying the body, anti-inflammatory effects, gut health support, and even weight loss! Of course, this is all in addition to a well-balanced and whole-food eating style. Of course, you should ALWAYS discuss adding new foods or changing your meal plan with your healthcare practitioner before doing it! A tip - try to avoid a greens powder with added sugar or flavorings. These ingredients may not support wellness.


Here are some yummy ideas!

Greens Oat and Apple Waffles

2¼ cups old fashioned oats

¼ cup greens powder

¼ unsweetened non-dairy milk

½ teaspoon sea salt

2 large eggs

2 apples, chopped

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tbsp cinnamon

⅛ cup agave syrup - for drizzling

Mix all ingredients in a food processor until chopped and combined. Cook like regular waffles.


Greens Protein Bites

¼ cup of pepita (pumpkin) seeds

¼ of almond butter

¼ chopped (fine) almonds or walnuts

2 tbsp chopped pistachios

2 tbsp greens powder

1 tbsp ground flax seed

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tbsp honey or agave

¼ tsp sea salt

Process all ingredients in processor until they come together. Roll into balls and lay out on baking sheet. Freeze for 2-3 hours to set. Combine in 1 storage container and refrigerate. Stays approx 2 weeks.


Greens Italian Dressing

2 cups extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

¼ water

1 tbsp Italian seasoning - NO SALT, MSG, or CITRIC ACID

1 tsp garlic powder

2 tbsp greens powder

Add to dressing carafe and eat as you normally would!

Add to SmoothiesChoose berries, oats, ground flaxseed, frozen fruit, nut milk, turmeric, coconut oil, protein powder, leafy greens, cinnamon, or greens powder to a blender and enjoy! Add to dips or marinadesAdd to salsas, hummus, marinades, or dips to boost nutrient content in a yummy way!
